Community Empowerment
Safety & Environmental Equity
- Support Safe Route to School and Safe Streets initiatives in all neighborhoods
- Work with community advocates, city leadership, and the Philadelphia Police Department to address the inequities in 911 response times in communities of color
- Support funding for public safety community neighborhood grants
- Support incentives and resources for communities to address illegal dumping
- Invest in the city’s L & I residential and business nuisance task force
Housing & Equity
- Invest in The Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) Homeownership education program to assist in transitioning from rent to homeownership
- Advocate for funding and training to keep Philadelphians in their homes, especially senior citizens
- Advocate for positive conversations with developers who choose to build long-term agreements with residents
Election Equity
- Support fully funded Ethics Board
- Invest in safe, secured elections
- Support a community-led councilmanic redistricting commission
Education & Workforce Equity
- Support Childhood Literacy programs for all youth
- Support investments in youth mentoring, life coaching, leadership development, and conflict resolution programming
- Support pipeline readiness initiatives that focus on preparing students for the workforce
- Support Community base STEM, STEAM, and Entrepreneurship programming
- Support adequate funding for basic and special education
- Advocate for funding new buildings and facilities free from lead or asbestos
- Support trauma-informed support services for children
- Support additional nutritious and appetizing meals for students K-8
Small Business Equity
- Support and advocate for minority and women-owned businesses to gain equal access to contracting opportunities
- Advocate for small business capital and introduce more inclusive growth initiatives that build the economy
- Promote equitable and fair contracting practices
- Advocate for lower business taxes
